Introduction to creating mobile apps

Mobile devices have provided a revolution in the way we communicate and interact in society. Through the increasing advancement in the availability of Internet access, these devices have gained prominence in the daily lives of a large portion of the population. The universalization of technical standards and the expansion of content and access to the internet network intensifies, resulting in a significant increase in purchases of smartphones for connection. Until mid-2014, of the planet’s 7 billion inhabitants, just over 40% had access to the internet (WASHINGTON POST, 2014).

With this popularization, there was a large investment in improving devices and their functionalities. Promoted by a technology industry made up mainly of large manufacturers such as Samsumg, Apple, Google, Nokia and BackBerry, they have developed different operating systems focused on their own hardware. According to research by the StatCounter Global Stats foundation, the operating systems that have the majority of users are Android and iOS. 

We will present three technologies for creating mobile applications. The focus is on the development of native and hybrid applications, in addition to three specific technologies: React Native, Xamarin and Flutter.

React Native
